• This piece is *NOT FOOD SAFE.* It was glazed fired using a technique called Raku which consists of dropping red-hot stoneware into a bucket of wood chips, water and newspaper (in a controlled environment). It creates a metallic finish and black crackles. It is intended to be decorative, and would look beautiful filled with your favorite dried flowers on a window sill, or writing utensils on a desk.
• I will never intentionally sell a faulty piece, though things like hairline cracks occasionally remain unseen while inspecting. A replacement of your choice of another available piece (of similar value) or a full refund will be issued if piece is deemed as defective and unusable.
